Upgrade or Replace
When should you replace a skylight?
We recommend replacing your skylights when you re-roof. It's the most cost-efficient way, and it allows you to synchronize your roof and skylight warranties.
Skylights Gone Bad
If your skylight looks like this, it could begin to leak at any time. You should expect to replace it soon.
How It's Done
1. Remove Roofing
The first step is to simply remove the roofing material around the skylight.
2. Repair Damage
If there is any damage to the roof sheathing, it will need to be replaced before the new skylight work can begin. If a new skylight frame is needed, we will fabricate and install that. Then everything is wrapped with a special waterproof material.
3. Install Metal Components
Metal flashing components are then installed on all four sides of the skylight opening. It is now ready to receive the actual skylight. The roof top work is completed by replacing the roofing material
